Is Your "roofer" fully-licensed and insured?

Updated: Jun 22, 2021

Professional roofer installing shingles

Roofing season is here, and APC is here with a little PSA... Before you hire a your friendly neighborhood "roofer", make sure you get their credentials. If you've already started looking into getting your new roof, you know there are LOTS of roofing companies out there but they are not all created equal. There is a big difference between a “roofer” and a fully-licensed, fully-insured roofing contractor (like APC!).

A licensed contractor is someone who maintains an advanced level of industry training and knowledge. This means that you will get a professional grade, high-quality roof installation for your home. An insured roofing contractor takes the pressure off you, and your homeowners insurance, in the event an accident occurs and one of the installers is injured on your property. A credible contractor will provide you with proof of their insurance coverage and licensing.

We know it can be tempting to just "get the job done." But your home's roof is an important investment and not one you want to have problems with or reinvest in after just a few short years. Take the time to do a little homework now and save yourself a bunch of headaches in the future.

Happy roofing. Over and out.
